Miniature Poodle

Miniature Poodle
The Miniature Poodle was bred down from the Standard, presumably by using the smaller specimens. During the 1950s, it became the most popular breed in many countries because it was believed, wrongly, that as more people migrated to the towns, interest in working breeds would lessen. While there are those who say that it is not a proper dog at all-unaware of its origins as a gundog and water retriever, no doubt-the Miniature Poodle remains a favorite. The Miniature Poodle has the same show standard as the larger and smaller breeds, except in the matter of size, and has similar characteristics. It requires frequent regular visits to the canine beauty parlor, even if it is not the intention to exhibit. Use a wire-pin pneumatic brush and a wire-toothed metal comb for daily grooming.
