This dog is a smaller replica of the Bull Terrier and
shares the same breed standard apart from height.
Bull Terriers weighing as little as l0 lb (4.5kg) were
recorded early in the breed's history, but it was not
until 1939 that the Miniature was given a separate
breed register by the Kennel Club in Britain. It has
never been very popular and few specimens are seen
in the show ring.
This loving and companionable little dog has the
same characteristics as its larger relative, making an
excellent pet and being generally good with children.
It requires daily brushing and plenty of exercise. |
